Happy Grandparents Day
Marian McQuade is recognized as the primary founder of National Grandparents Day, having launched a national campaign in 1970 to establish the holiday and strengthen the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Her efforts led to a federal proclamation by President Jimmy Carter in 1978, officially establishing the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparents Day.
In 1961, Jacob Reingold, inspired by a speech at the White House Conference on Aging, held the first specifically designated grandparent day at the Hebrew Home in the Bronx.
On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, we will again celebrate the love, wisdom, and legacy that grandparents bring to every generation.
At G4K, we believe that protecting our grandchildren’s education is one of the most meaningful ways we can show that love.
This short video is a joyful reminder of why we do what we do—because every child deserves a future built on truth, excellence, and opportunity.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we’re making a difference—one grandchild, one classroom, one vote at a time.
